Ashish Spring/Summer 2020

From the designer who created the QUEER collection, the Indian born designer Ashish

showcased a mesmerizing collection this season.

Ashish Queer Collection

Even though I lovehis style and talent, but I also admire his spirit and love supporting the marginalized communities. He is the voice of the under estimated people.

For this season, Ashish created a dreamy mood for the show. At the far end of the runway, two musicians, Candida Valentino and Michael Ormiston, played gongs, wind chimes, and birdcalls to weave a blissed-out soundscape. The collection was influenced from the Indian tradition.

The designer used sequins and mirrors on the majority of his pieces in this collection. Ashish said that he had mixed fabrics made by himself with vintage patches with strong color, sourced from India to create collage garments that sometimes resembled ’60s-era hippy trailwear.

The show was really sensual and strong in the same time. Below are my favorite looks.

Jamie Wei Huang SS20

SS20 collection takes its name after a common mental illness
– Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Jamie Wei Huang launched the label after selected as Top 5 final list at “Designer For Tomorrow” award in 2013, mentored by Stella McCartney; however, the next year Jaime won the final prize of “Elle Talents Award” in Taiwan. The brand now has a worldwide popularity and exposure. Her garments are worn by international celebrities such as Lady GaGa, Kelly Rowland… and Top Fashion Editors and Stylists in the industry.

For the Spring/Summer 2020, Jamie Wei Huang chose the historic Waldorf Hilton’s ballroom to show her Spring/Summer 20 collection named after obsessive-compulsive disorder, from which the designer admits she suffers.

But the clothes were not about the illness, Huang said, but an accumulation of the complex emotions of an obsessive professional like her, who cares too much about every little detail.

The silhouettes were tighter than usual, with a focus on a raised waistline. Handmade beaded and crystal pouches and furry cross-body bags came with pastel slip dresses or see-through shirts.

Victoria Beckham Resort SS20

“Lightness, easiness, freedom. Those are the ideas I was thinking of for this collection. It’s about dynamic women today, women in motion. We looked at a melting pot of references and inspiration from past decades, then looked to our brand DNA and put everything together into a blender, to make a new, modern mix”, Victoria Beckham

It’s no secret that the Victoria Beckham brand has found itself in financial problems over the past few years. In 2017, losses rose from £8.5m to £10.3m, In this collection, Victoria Beckham changed directions a bit, she presented deep V-neck dresses, comfortable to wear, romantic and sensual, high waited trousers, long coats and a sea of camel, ivory and creams were interrupted with jarring color combinations of brown with purple and green.

This collection is one of the best ever presented, it caters for all taste, fun, flirty and classy.

I couldn’t pick my favorite looks because all pieces are to my taste. So enjoy the Full Beckham collection SS20

Burberry SS20

In addition to the classical looks Tisci first gave to the the collection, the Burberry SS20 collection is more relaxed and comfy.

The classic “scarf-line”, the Coats, the fluttering volume to sleeves on blouses and dresses and the elegant & flawless tuxedos were the highlights of the collection. In menswear, Tisci is definitely aiming for the fashion-conscious urban scenario he knows so well; after all, he was the one who practically invented the luxury end of streetwear in the time he was at Givenchy.

Below are my favorite looks of this collection.

House of Holland SS20 London Fashion Week

“I think there’s a reflection between then and now,” said Henry Holland.

Panel-striped satin, lace-and-Lurex, puff-shouldered minidress, pink, white, and baby blue satin three-piece suits were the highlights of the collections.
