Eze: The Most Beautiful Village in South of France

When we say South of France, Cannes and St. Tropez are the first two places that come to everyone’s mind. Who doesn’t know Cannes Film Festival, the St. Tropez beaches, Monaco, and Nice for instance?

However, among all these nice cities in the South of France, Eze should be a definite stop.

Eze, Menton, Mougins and Saint Paul de Vence are my preferred villages in the South.

In this blog, I will reveal Eze’s charm.

Eze, this tiny, charming and historical village, is only 20 min away from Nice by car. The village is full of history and character.

Once you arrive to Eze, you will feel as if you went back to the Medieval period while walking up the uneven stone streets through narrow passages and under low archways. It is like being in a museum village, and gift shops and cafes could be found around every corner. If you liked to stay in Eze, there is a 5-star hotel (Chateau de La Chèvre D’or) with a pool and spa. Perched above the village on top of the mountain, the garden has spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the hills below. Eze is a pedestrian village, where you walk stone staircases and paths surrounded by wonderful sculptures, statues and countless species of plants of the Cote d’Azur.

For this kind of trips, I always pack comfy and colorful long dresses with nice accessories to add freshness and style to the outfit. As for the shoes, I always pack fancy high heels for the night, but for days like this when i have to walk and take stairs, I always have my flats and sneakers.

I always visit Chateau de La chèvre d’or Hotel when in Eze. I sit on the terrace for hours and have a cocktail, while contemplating the views over the Mediterranean and the hillsides where all the pastel colors melt together for a tranquil, perfect and magical setting.
