WHAT BETTER WAY TO SHOWCASE CRUISE COLLECTION THAN ON A CRUISE?
The house could not secure a ship fit to host its floating show. So instead, creative director Karl Lagerfeld brought the boat to dry land. A 330-foot-long ocean liner was built in the middle of the Grand Palais.
Named La Pausa, after the villa in the South of France built by founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in the Thirties, the replica ship was the spectacular backdrop for Chanel’s cruise collection.
The La Pausa was docked the entire show, 88 looks of pure nautical style complete with wave and boat prints, big round sunglasses, white tights and berets in tweed, cotton or sequins, all in white, black and pastel shades, Check my favorite looks
